Position: Sales / Account Manager: Business Development Manager

Salary:per annum

Overview:

A leading player in the tech sector is actively seeking a dynamic Sales / Account Manager: Business Development Manager to join their team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will drive business growth by identifying new opportunities fostering client relationships and executing effective sales strategies. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a proven background in sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify Growth Opportunities:
  • Conduct market analysis to pinpoint potential clients and market niches.
  • Prospect and assess leads through various channels like networking and outreach.
  • Evaluate industry trends and competitors to uncover new business prospects.
  1. Develop and Execute Sales Plans:
  • Formulate sales strategies to meet company revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with team members to devise tailored solutions for client needs.
  • Utilise consultative selling techniques to communicate value propositions effectively.
  1. Nurture Client Relationships:
  • Cultivate enduring relationships with current partners and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to partners understanding their objectives and challenges to offer relevant solutions.
  • Conduct regular presentations and meetings to showcase product/service offerings and address inquiries.
  1. Foster CrossFunctional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal teams such as product development and customer support to align business goals and provide exceptional partner support.
  • Provide insights to management based on partner feedback and market trends to drive innovation and improvements.
  1. Monitor and Report Sales Performance:
  • Maintain accurate records of activities including pipeline management and client interactions utilising CRM software.
  • Generate periodic reports on performance metrics highlighting achievements and areas for growth.

Experience Criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Business Development Manager role or similar position.
  • Desirable: 13 years experience in the UK retail tech sector.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and surpassing sales targets.
  • Proficient presentation skills with the ability to conduct product demos.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems for managing client records.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Knowledge of the retail tech or financial services industry is advantageous.
