Certified Histological Technician

• Valid certification as a Histologic Technician issued by NYSED
• BLS preferred.

• Histology Lab Some of the functions:
• Perform specimen collection
• Assist in slide preparation of frozen sections by use of cryostat staining & cover slipping.
• Cutting embedded blocks & create stain glass slides.
• Process biopsy specimens
• Create cassettes and describe specimens on tissue templates. Histo Tech or Clin Lab Tech Cert
