Drafter

Paradigm is searching for a Drafter ready to support our client an engineering firm specializing in telecommunications and providing network planning and engineering services connected to the deployment of fiber optic infrastructure. This is an entrylevel role with onsite training. The ideal candidate is excited to join a team working on projects across the United States supporting clients from initial design through permitting and construction.

As a Drafter you will:

• Work with a team to draft detailed drawings and design layouts for installing fiberoptic line in new residential neighborhoods
  
• Draft update and maintain detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for fiberoptic line projects using proprietary software and programs like AutoCAD and MicroStation
  
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of telecommunications infrastructural design structural mechanical and electrical materials and methods commonly used in telecom construction
  
• Investigate and recommend procedures to maintain and improve product quality
  
• Remain informed of trends in layout and construction and recommend their use where appropriate
  
• Assist the team with drafting updates as required
  

Requirements

• Associates Degree in drafting preferred
  
• 12 years experience is preferable
  
• Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation drafting programs
  
• Good attention to detail
  
• An interest in the big picture to learn about the technology and systems that they are working on
