Design Engineer

1. Conceptualize design and develop automotive trim components and systems including but not limited to interior and exterior trims door panels instrument panels consoles and decorative inserts.
2. Utilize ComputerAided Design (CAD) software (e.g. CATIA SolidWorks) to create 3D models assemblies and detailed drawings of trim components.
3. Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to assess the manufacturability functionality and performance of design concepts.
4. Collaborate with styling engineering and manufacturing teams to translate design intent into manufacturable components while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
5. Generate engineering documentation including technical specifications drawings and bills of materials (BOM) to support prototype and production activities.
6. Conduct design reviews and participate in crossfunctional team meetings to evaluate design progress address technical challenges and implement design improvements.
7. Support prototype build activities by providing engineering support troubleshooting design issues and coordinating design changes as necessary.
8. Perform tolerance analysis Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and simulation studies to optimize designs for performance cost and weight targets.
9. Stay abreast of industry trends emerging technologies and advancements in materials to drive innovation and continuous improvement in trim design.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and quality standards throughout the design and development process
