As part of Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) Software Engineering and Systems Integration (SESI) team, leading the DevSecOps transformation effort, the DevSecOps Software Engineer will bring expertise to identify, develop and configure tools, contributing to – designing, building, securing, operating, and monitoring – software engineering and development environments to meet project needs and security requirements across various programmes. They will join the DevSecOps (DSO) team working hand-in-hand with the Boeing Global Services DSO team in US and Boeing Defence Australia.

The DevSecOps Engineer will be an active, hands-on teammate, helping build, maintain, and document common DevSecOps and cloud solutions that are aligned with security requirements and support transformation from legacy software development environment to Boeing Software Factory.

They will assist with the development, documentation and maintenance of Architectures, Requirements, Interfaces and Designs for software systems. Develop and maintain code and integrate software components into a fully functional software system. Assist with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Support software project management and software supplier management functions. Select, tailor and deploy processes and tools; establishing metrics to measure availability and utilisation of Software Development and Test Environment.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with software, IT, and program teams to design and develop core DevSecOps infrastructure and frameworks with emphasis on tools involved
• Consulting with Enterprise DSO to leverage and implement common, reusable infrastructure
• Assisting in integrating on-prem hardware with cloud compute and DevSecOps systems
• Managing core infrastructure for cloud/on-prem/classified networks
• Supporting internal engineering customers in implementing and maintaining their local DSO implementations
