Job Description for the post
The person in this role is responsible for designing implementing and maintaining monitoring solutions for Networks Firewalls and SDWAN environments along with multi cloud Network monitoring. In this role you should have excellent problemsolving skills and thorough knowledge of Network architecture security and cloud management. This role involves ensuring the security performance and reliability of network infrastructure through effective monitoring and response strategies.
Accountabilities:
Proficiency in using network monitoring tools like Thousand Eye SevOne Netbrain etc.
Having indepth knowledge of Integrating monitoring agents and sensors across various Network & Cloud components applications and Infrastructure.
Configure monitoring tools like Thousand Eye SevOne Netbrain to collect relevant performance security and utilization data of Onpremise as well as Cloud Network and security devices.
Creating Customize dashboards reports and alerts to provide comprehensive visibility into network and application performance.
Finetune alerting thresholds and notification mechanisms for proactive issue resolution.
Analyze network and application performance data to identify trends bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing performance and enhancing the customer experience.
Troubleshoot issues related to data collection visualization and alerting.
Integrate observability tools with other monitoring and management systems for a holistic view of the IT environment.
Monitoring and managing cloud infrastructure ensuring the availability performance and security of resources in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Implement and configure Azure Monitor and AWS CloudWatch to monitor various cloud resources.
Set up custom metrics logs and alerts based on infrastructure and application requirements.
Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including product management data science and operations to define and implement AIOps strategies that enhance network performance.
Work closely with vendors and support teams to address technical challenges and optimize cloud monitoring solutions.
Partner with Architects Compute and Network Engineers Information Security and other stakeholders to assist in the design communication and implementation of Strategies Technology Roadmaps Standards Processes and Services and validation of their costeffectiveness.
Knowledge of Scripting (e.g. Python PowerShell) for automation purposes.
Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline monitoring tasks and responses.
Create and maintain documentation including best practices knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor s degree or higher in computer science engineering or related field required; master s degree preferred
Experience:
10 years of experience and Indepth knowledge of Networking protocols Firewall technologies and SDWAN solutions along with Azure and AWS cloud.
10Years experience in Design deploy and maintain monitoring systems for Networking devices Firewalls and SDWAN environments.
Experience in troubleshooting complex Network and application performance issues.
Indepth knowledge of networking concepts (BGP DNS Load Balancing firewall and core Internet) including CDN
Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP Palo Alto Networks PCNSE or vendorspecific certifications in SDWAN technologies.
Relevant certifications in cloud platforms monitoring (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Monitor and Security Engineer) are advantageous.
Nice to have exposure:
Grafana ELK & AppDynamics.
Knowledge of Scripting (e.g. Python PowerShell) for automation purposes.
NonTechnical Skills:
Ability to speak both IT and business with a focus on representing the art of the possible.
Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills.
Vendor management experience
Proficiency managing multiple projects in the Hybrid Multi cloud environment.
Strong documentation skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical personnel.
