Data Architect
New Holland PA 17557
Hybrid ( 3days Onsite)
Summary: Data Architect will have a key role in our platform architecture by modeling designing and implementing a modern data stack that enables the creation of scalable applications and gaining knowledge and insight from the data. The architect is responsible for all data sources concerning business operations and outlines a design to integrate centralize and maintain data
Functions:
a) Translate business needs into data models supporting longterm solutions using SQL and nonSQL databases on cloudbased platforms.
b) Create and maintain conceptual logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata using best practices to ensure high data quality and data access.
c) Document present and communicate modeling artifacts and recommendations to the development team and internal stakeholders.
d) Ensure best practices in data management are being followed.
e) Own and resolve data governance data quality and protection issues.
f) Work closely with cross functional teams and leadership to improve the quality and value of core data assets respond to regulatory protection requirements.
g) Evaluate implemented data systems for variances discrepancies and efficiency and identify areas of improvement in current systems.
h) Play a key role in the process of data transformation required for effective reporting analytics and visualization.
i) Determine the data storage needs create and maintain data infrastructure for the company.
j) Determine the requirements for new database architecture and identify solutions for new databases and new data architecture.
k) Coordinate with other team members to reach project milestones.
l) Mentor junior members of the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
Strong and hands on data modeling and data engineering skills.
10 or more years of experience in SQL database(s) including experience with developing SQL queries and stored procedures.
5 or more years of experience with nonSQL databases.
5 or more years working in a data architect role including modeling
Designing and building complex data solutions using SQL and non SQL databases.
Experience in designing data architecture to support analytic needs of the company.
Strong understanding of and experience with data management concepts data governance and data security.
Strong experience with cloud technologies (Azure AWS) and cloud data engineering tools and services.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Dedicated and hardworking leader who achieves maximum efficiency and productivity working with the rest of the team.
Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation required.
