Job Summary:

As a Linux and Apache Tomcat Administrator you will be responsible for the deployment configuration maintenance and troubleshooting of Linuxbased servers and Apache Tomcat applications. Your role involves ensuring the seamless operation of web applications optimizing performance and implementing security measures. Collaboration with development and IT teams is essential to support the organizations web infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Linux Server Administration:

Install configure and maintain Linux operating systems (e.g. Ubuntu CentOS Red Hat) on servers.

Manage server resources monitor performance and troubleshoot issues.

1. Apache Tomcat Administration:

Install configure and maintain Apache Tomcat servers.

Create configure virtual host in Apache web server.

Deploy update and troubleshoot Javabased web applications on Tomcat.

Monitor Tomcat logs and performance metrics for optimal application health.

1. Web Application Deployment:

Collaborate with development teams to deploy and update web applications.

Ensure proper configuration and integration of applications with Apache Tomcat.

1. Security Management:

Implement and maintain security measures for both Linux servers and Apache Tomcat applications.

Monitor and respond to security incidents conduct regular security audits.

1. Performance Optimization:

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in both Linux servers and Tomcat applications.

Finetune configurations for optimal resource utilization.

1. Scripting and Automation:

Develop and maintain scripts (e.g. Bash Python) to automate routine tasks.

Implement configuration management tools for efficient system and application management.

1. Monitoring and Alerts:

Set up monitoring tools to track the health and performance of Linux servers and Tomcat applications.

Configure alerts for critical events and respond promptly to incidents.

1. Collaboration and Documentation:

Work closely with development and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of applications.

Create and maintain documentation for configurations procedures and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

BE BTech or MCA with a minimum of 4. years of experience in relevant technology.

Proven experience as a Linux Administrator and Apache Tomcat Administrator.

Indepth knowledge of Linux systems server administration and Apache Tomcat.

Experience with Javabased web applications and related technologies.

Strong scripting skills (e.g. Bash Python).

Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible).

Understanding of networking protocols and security best practices.

Certifications:

CompTIA Linux Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) AWS Certification
