The contractor will focus on collecting and analyzing cost optimization metrics as well as notifying and visualizing the data to facilitate optimization efforts. So this is the project summary:

The project aims to develop a system that provides realtime notifications based on resource utilization and cost optimization insights for core AWS resources. These include but are not limited to EC2 RDS DynamoDB Lambda CloudWatch Kinesis VPC Endpoints S3 and ElastiCache. It will utilize tools such as AWS Trusted Advisor AWS Compute Optimizer AWS CloudWatch and AWS Cost and Usage Report (CUR) for comprehensive data collection and analysis. A key feature of the system will be its ability to visualize cost information making it easier for teams to understand spending patterns identify savings opportunities and make datadriven decisions. The goal is to empower teams to efficiently manage AWS resources minimize costs and enhance operational efficiency through proactive notifications and clear insights into cost optimization efforts.


The contractor will focus on GoDaddys ability to visualize cost information for optimization efforts.
The required skills are:
o Understanding of Cost optimization on AWS
o CDK (Python TypeScript)
o CloudFormation / IaaC
o Comfortable in GitOps environment
o Functional knowledge of core AWS infrastructure e.g. Compute Databases S3
o Scripting Python is sufficient
o Great to have:
Understand CUR data
Functional Quicksight Athena may be Glue
Dashboarding in Kibana.
