Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

An energetic and eager Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is needed to serve in a Nursing home located in the San Antonio TX.

• Demonstrate competency in planning and preparing for the care of the residents.
  
• Managing all primary care related consults.
  
• Check in with patients who have acute issues and establish a followup plan.
  
• Prescribe and interpret labs and diagnostic tests to obtain information for underlying infections or abnormalities.
  
• Prescribe medication and drugs.
  
• Reach an informed diagnosis based on medical knowledge and the patients medical history.
  
• Collaborate with Medical Directors and Registered Nurses to form a highperforming medical team.
  
• Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients with patients family members and the medical team.
  

• Valid NP or PA license is needed in the state of Texas
  
• Board Certification
  
• Long term care experience is needed
  
• Ok to work with the geriatric population
  

Schedule:

• Part time
  
• 3 days per week
  
• 8 hour shifts
