Senior Backend Developer Western Europe

As a small team were all generalists constantly picking up new challenges. When it comes to code were looking to work with experienced people who can pick a problem and solve it. We use TypeScript and build scalable systems so we can continuously make progress on a solid foundation. We dont expect you to have a background in everything we use but we do expect strong JavaScript fundamentals and experience in building scalable infrastructure and backend solutions.

• Backend: NodeJs Postgres Redis and Rockset. Deployed on AWS.
• Frontend: NextJs deployed on Vercel
• Monitored on Datadog
• Builtin a monorepo powered by Turborepo
• Tools: GitHub Slack Notion Linear

Tasks

• Build the backend for various userfacing features
• Improve database and infrastructure performance
• Improve observability monitoring and alerting for our service so that we can better respond to operational incidents
• Scale our service via architectural changes as well as infrastructure improvements
• Improve the DX to multiply the team productivity

Requirements

• 5 years of experience and 3 years of experience in NodeJs and SQL databases.
• Experience with building scalable and reliable systems
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Ability to work in a fastpaced startup environment and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams
• Located in Western Europe.
