Linux Engineer

• Perform systems engineering and software development in multiple large enterprise server environments with a focus on Linux Red Hat and CentOS.
  
• Provide technical guidance in software engineering techniques and automated support tools.
  
• Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.
  
• Prepare comprehensive documentation at both programlevel and userlevel.
  
• Assist in establishing standards for information systems procedures.
  
• Conduct technical evaluations and analysis to support decisionmaking processes.
  
• Collaborate with technical leads to assess server loads and develop tuning recommendations.
  
• Fulfill operational duties including providing pager/phone duty support and completing daytoday Operations & Maintenance tasks.
  
• Perform operating system software updates upgrades and patches in accordance with best practices.
  

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python Ruby Bash and PHP programming languages.
  
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
  
• Familiarity with configuration management software including Ansible Puppet Manifests and Foreman.
  
• Knowledge of cloud computing models including PaaS IaaS and SaaS.
  
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift (CaaS).
  
• Understanding of the LAMP stack (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) and its deployment in enterprise environments.
