Clinical Research Associate

Duties & Responsibilities • Contribute significantly in designing and implementation of researchmethods and protocols; design safety procedures; adopt new processes,techniques, or instrumentation relative to research procedures. • Oversee general laboratory work relevant to assigned researchproject(s) and equipment maintenance; quality control analysis of reagents. • Collect, prepare and analyze research data; conductsearch-relevant scientific literature as needed; keep a detailednotebook summarizing experiments and recording research data; maintain acomputer database of research data; gather and disseminate datafor presentation in research conferences and for manuscriptpreparation; use graphics and statistical software to analyze andpresent data. • Supervise students and other personnel in the laboratory tocoordinate research efforts for increased efficiency; participate intraining of fellows, research assistance, students, and visitingresearch personnel as needed. • Produce scientific progress reports and contribute to preparingresearch and grants/funding applications. • Assist with ordering and procurement of supplies and equipment andwith general maintenance of laboratory. • Contribute to the publications outputs of QU through high impact publications. • Perform other research tasks and duties that may be occasionallyrequested to meet the requirements of the role and the strategic goalsof the research center. Qualifications • Ph.D. awarded within the last two years, from a reputable institution in the field. • One or more years of relevant experience in a research environment is preferred. • One or more years of relevant experience in a research environment after the PhD is preferred.
