Title: IT Security Engineer

Location: Brooklyn NY (Remote)

Duration: 12 Months

Work week: 40 hours per week

REMOTE Ability to come onsite at NY as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manage enterprise security solutions such as NGFW infrastructure DNS/DNSSEC enterprise MFA and NGFW infrastructure and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technology.

• Manage the implementation of new or updated information security hardware or software.

• Provide technical expertise for the delivery of security applications.

• Assess and provide expertise on assurance levels firewall policy evaluations nextgeneration threat prevention designs SSL encryption/decryption strategies vulnerability protection profiles content filtering and perimeter security controls.

• Assess and provide nextgeneration threat prevention designs and SSL encryption/decryption.

MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Minimum 12 years of experience in a technical and/or business application product platform or methodology.

• Experience designing secure networks systems and applications with a focus on security performance and reliability.

• Experience planning researching and developing security policies standards and procedures.

• Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Demonstrate a sound understanding in the implementation of cybersecurity trends security methodologies and OSI model; TCP/IP stack.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• One or more relevant information security and/or networking certifications such as: CISSP Security Network CCNA PCNSE.

• Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.
