The Cloud Economics Architect plays a critical role in helping organizations to optimize their cloud resources and reduce cloud costs. The role requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies platforms and services as well as analytical and problemsolving skills to identify opportunities for cost savings.
The Cloud Economics Architect is responsible for designing and implementing cloudbased solutions that are costeffective and aligned with the organizations business objectives. The role involves analyzing cloud usage and costs to identify areas of improvement and developing strategies to optimize cloud resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze cloud usage and costs to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to optimize cloud resources
- Develop and maintain a cost model to estimate cloud costs and identify opportunities for cost savings
- Collaborate with the organizations IT and business teams to design and implement cloudbased solutions that are costeffective and aligned with the organizations business objectives
- Develop and maintain documentation and reports to monitor and report on cloud usage costs and cost optimization initiatives
- Stay uptodate with cloud technologies and industry trends to provide guidance on cost optimization and best practices
Qualifications:
- Must have engineering skills and work handson
- Strong experience in cloud architecture design and cost optimization
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies platforms and services (Amazon Web Services (AWS))
- Experience with cloud cost management and optimization tools such as AWS Cost Explorer
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for cost savings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with IT and business teams
- Certifications in cloud technologies such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Professional Cloud Architects are preferred
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings and participate in teambuilding efforts
- Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions peer reviews etc
- Contribute content and collaborate via the OrangePeopleWiki/Knowledge Base
- Provide status reports to OrangePeople Account Management as requested
