Controls Engineer

Candidates will have a minimum of 48 years experience in controls engineering.

Qualified candidates are proficient in project planning creating schematic and electrical layout drawings working with PLCs and HMIs and implementation and commissioning of engineering design projects.

Location and Duration: Candidate would be working at customer location at Mountville PA for this assignment from March to June 2024.

Shift:: Current shift is 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 PM with a 104 rotation (working for ten days then having four days off)

What You Do In This Role:

• Participates in the design of semicomplex systems that integrate hardware and software.
• Write PLC code for semicomplex systems utilizing standard practices.
• Provides support in semicomplex material specification schematic preparation billofmaterials development and appropriate followup.
• Participates in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.
• Independently run semicomplex projects through the project life cycle including all design documentation and forecasting.
• Assist in complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design.
• Troubleshoot programming and electrical issues that arise on site.
• Interact directly with the customer on site.

What We Are Looking For:

• Current handson experience with Programmable Logic Controllers. Expertise with Allen Bradley Schneider Unity or Siemens TIA Portal preferred.
• Must demonstrate a working understanding of design layout and use of current networks such as Profibus ASi and Ethernet.
• Experience in writing descriptions of operations and developments of controls based physical layouts is expected.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage numerous opportunities and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Current experience with the rigors of onsite startup/commissioning.
• Experience with material handling systems is preferred.
• 48 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of responsibilities as presented above.
• Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience where applicable
• Bachelors Degree or equal in a related discipline
