Join Our Team as a Gastroenterology Nurse!

Are you a dedicated nurse with a passion for providing exceptional care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders and diseases Our team is seeking experienced Gastroenterology Nurses to join our dynamic Endoscopy Lab. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and document required complete nursing assessments of each patient prior to procedures.
• Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Provide technical assistance within RN scope of practice in both endoscopic and nonendoscopic procedures.
• Set up appropriate equipment and maintain proper functioning of all endoscopic equipment.
• Perform designated nonendoscopic diagnostic procedures with minimal supervision.
• Process diagnostic specimens accurately and ensure delivery to appropriate testing areas.
• Assure adequate preparation maintenance and inventory control of supplies.
• Evaluate and document effectiveness of patient care in all phases of the perioperative endoscopy experience.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the storage cleaning and use of reusable medical equipment (RME).
• Perform proper procedures for caring for patients in an isolation environment.
• Locate and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all RME in the clinical area.
• Rotate through performing educational preprocedure phone instructions and coordinating patient accommodations as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by ACEN or CCNE.
• Current full active and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State Territory or Commonwealth of the United States.
• Experience in gastroenterology nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required.
