Senior IT System Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Senior IT System Engineer you will assume a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability efficiency and security of our network Windows Server telecommunications and other technology infrastructure. Engaging in various IT projects and initiatives you will focus on computer server hardware server software networking and telecommunications on a global scale. Your duties will entail identifying designing implementing and supporting technology infrastructure aligned with our business objectives under managerial direction.

Salary: $105000 to $115000

Responsibilities:

1. Identify design implement and support technology infrastructure to align with business objectives under managerial direction.
2. Proactively leverage knowledge of current Microsoft technologies and methodologies to resolve problems and anticipate potential issues.
3. Administer and provide oversight for File/Print Domain Controllers Application Servers and File Services servers in a distributed global enterprise environment.
4. Deliver onsite and remote customer service for technical issues and serve as a technical resource on infrastructure technologies such as computers servers telecommunications cell phones and networks.
5. Conduct diagnosis capacity planning and performance tuning of systems to ensure optimal performance.
6. Manage OS upgrades and security patch implementation to enhance system security and stability.
7. Implement monitoring tools for server health administration and ensure 24x7 oncall availability.
8. Serve as a mentor to other members of the IT team offering guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science MIS BCS or a related field.
• 7 years of relevant experience or 10 years of related experience.
• IT certifications such as Oracle Microsoft Citrix and/or Cisco are advantageous.
• The role may necessitate a flexible work schedule including oncall status evenings and/or weekends.
• The ability to lift computer equipment monitors and servers may be necessary.
