As a Senior Database Administrator you will be working with Lending Clubs Engineering Operations Data teams to develop manage govern and maintain Oracle MySQL PostgreSQL databases. The position requires thorough working knowledge of the Oracle internals AWS RDS (Oracle) Internals SQL performance database performance capacity planning installation integration configuration database design migration security troubleshooting upgrades refreshes and backup & recovery. You will be working closely with the Engineering DevOps and infrastructure teams in maintaining a reliable environment around systems hardware and operating systems server software.
6 years overall experience Design Configure and Maintain Oracle and MySQL databases.
Establish and maintain sound recovery and backup policies and procedures
Design Installation configuration patching and upgrading of Oracle 19C database server software and related products.
Develop data migration plans to migrate legacy onpremises databases into AWS infrastructure.
Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles assign privileges) establish procedures to apply most recent Critical Patch Updates to the databases.
Ensure data integrity and availability
Perform on call duties to keep the lights up 24x7.
Establish and execute periodic disaster recovery testing
Capacity planning Database licensing security and encryption
Evaluation of database features and database related products
Setup and maintain documentation and standards Must have:
Monitor the performance of Oracle databases and query throughput
Level 1 Troubleshooting database incidents
Solid scripting skills using Shell Python.
6 years of Database Administration experience with 3 years of Oracle experience.
Experience with performance diagnostics performance tuning including analysis hints profiles and baselines
Good to have:
Solid scripting skills using Shell Python.
