Evaluates and works to improve the process of patient care delivery within the unit. Performs skin tests, immunizations phlebotomy, and the initiation of peripheral venous access. Serves as a clinical and operational resource for all nursing activities in the department. Provides assistance to co-workers, new staff, temporary staff and students. Delegates and assigns tasks to health care workers within the scope of their job responsibilities. Evaluates, facilitates, and promotes patient flow, coordinates discharge planning and team rounding. Participates in the completion of required competencies.
