Asst Manager Pricing Ocean Freight

• Build and maintain competitive internal tariffs for all major carriers to all important trade lanes.
• Evaluate opportunities to sign long term rate contracts or agreements with major carriers.
• Responsible for enabling Traydo to win new business through competitive pricing opportunities & creating increased success on existing business through carrier management & procurement management;
• Establish & maintain a strong working relationship with carriers to ensure best possible pricing capacity & equipment in alignment with our key carriers.
• Identify opportunities to optimise sales and profitability through pricing strategies
• Review & act on existing contractual terms or general forwarding business for opportunities to improve net margins through improved procurement;

• Bachelor s degree in Business Finance Economics Commerce Logistics or related field plus 10 years of experience with a reputed Freight Forwarder in the job offered out of which at least 5 years of experience in Ocean Exports Pricing. Should be below 35 years of age. Should have handled pricing for a minimum volume of 200 containers per month.

• Ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
• Should have handled pricing for Freehand business of minimum 200 containers per month.
• Should have great connections and relationships with carriers.
• Should know about Service Contracts for US business. Should have the capability to negotiate contracts and agreements with carriers for Non US business on a long term basis.
• Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver.
