Registered Nurse

Overview:

Benelux Medical Staff a leading staffing agency is searching for a dedicated RN in the same or similar clinical setting practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care with the ability to on longrange goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation. Responsibilities:

1. Utilizes the Nursing Process: Applies critical thinking to assess and address patients physical psychosocial and cultural needs. Implements evidencebased care plans and evaluates patient responses.
   
2. Patient Throughput & Flow: Anticipates admission/discharge needs facilitates patient flow and ensures accurate orders. Coaches on validating orders.
   
3. Unit Operations: Directs nursing care oversees equipment use assesses staffing needs and educates on industry operations and regulations.
   
4. Safe Practice/Quality Care: Integrates safety practices promotes positive patient outcomes conducts nursing research and ensures compliance with healthcare laws.
   

Technical Competencies:

1. Clinical Policies and Standards: Follows and contributes to standards procedures and policies. Assists in procedure development.
   
2. Health Information Documentation: Manages patient records transcribes orders and educates on documentation practices.
   
3. Medical Equipment: Ensures proper functioning of medical equipment troubleshoots issues and educates patients on equipment use.
   
4. Medical Order Processing: Processes medical orders identifies and corrects errors and differentiates between standing and preprinted orders.
   
5. Patient Chart Reading and Interpretation: Reviews patient charts for accuracy recognizes abnormal readings and validates interpretations.
   
6. Patient Safety: Ensures safety addresses inquiries recognizes signs of problems and participates in realtime reporting and investigation.
   

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
  
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
  
• BLS required.
  
• RN License in state of employment or compact.
