Digital Content Writer - Part Time - Social Impact Agency

As a Digital Content Writer at Civil Agents you will create content that informs and supports a healthy planet. Your writing will be featured across many digital platforms including Recycle by City our municipal education platform. About 60% of your tasks will be researching and writing longform articles and newsletters; the rest will be website updates and other shortform copy.

Responsibilities:

• Write edit and publish content for websites articles blogs videos social media posts/campaigns and newsletters

• Develop mediarich content that motivates inspires and educates across various digital platforms.

• Suggest and develop promotional contentmarketing ideas

• Propose new content based on your analysis.

• Review and update existing website content.

• Use your knowledge of SEO and content development to help us get found via search engines and showcase our industry leadership.

• Speak consistently in our brand voice.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of writingand publishing deadlinedriven assignments

• Experience drafting article outlines and working with content editors

Highly preferred:

Communication experience in the recycling industry or a sustainabilityrelated field

Bonus skills:

• Integrating marketing principles

• Digital or inperson outreach and education experience

• Visual communication/design skills (Photoshop & Canva)

• Degree or accredited studies in Sustainability Communications or Marketing

• Live near Chicago

• Bilingual Spanish

Working with Civil Agents:

• Hybrid or fully remote

• Assignments will be managed through weekly video meetings and a task management system

• You must be selfdriven and dependable; besides the weekly meeting your hours are your own.

• 820 hours per week / $26 per hour / 32 hours per monthguaranteed
