Welding shop Manager

Qualification and Certifications:

1. The candidate shall graduate in Mechanical/ Metallurgical Engineering with 1012 years relevant experience.
2. Welding Certification to CSWIP 3.1/ IWE/IWT is preferable.
3. Valid NDE Level II certification in PT VT as per EN ISO 9712

Experience:

1. Knowledge in preparing WPS WPQR and welder certifications as per AWS and EN ISO Standards.
2. Experience in fabrication with MIG/MAG process and with Robots/ SPM.
3. Ability to solve welding related issues and implement improvement measures.
4. Experience in implementation of welding systems based on ISO 38342 and EN 150852
5. Knowledge of steel codes and standards based in IS ASTM and EN standards.
6. Good knowledge of ISO/IATF EMS OHSAS.

Job Profile:

1. The candidate is expected to manage the welding workshop independently and lead a team of 1520 workforce.
2. Managing a team of welders and fitters/ helpers Handling of welding in SPM and robots.
3. Prepare and qualify welding procedures and welders as per AWS D1.1 and EN ISO standards.
4. Facilitate proper maintenance and utilization of welding related equipment in the workshop.
5. Inspection of testing of fabricated items before and after welding. Prepare and maintain records.
6. Prepare for and facilitate audits by certification bodies for ISO 38342 and EN 150852.
7. Troubleshoot process problems.
8. Improve welding process capability.
9. Should be a good team leader.
10. TPM/Six Sigma knowledge is an added advantage.
