Shifts: 2nd or 3rd shift $1.00 shift differential when working off shift
Job Description:
JOB SCOPE:
- Must be proficient in the operation of CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines. Responsible for the operation of all machines and processes which comprise the cell to which they are assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make minor setups and operate vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines including tool offsets.
- Work from blueprints manufacturing outlines (examples include routings bills of material work instructions) and/or verbal and written instructions.
- Use all measuring equipment required to check parts and maintain quality during machining process prior to submission to inspection.
- Perform assigned tasks to required quality and production standards.
- Maintain equipment tools and work area in a safe and clean condition.
- Perform assigned cleaning required to maintain individuals immediate work area in a clean condition.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Prepare and/or maintain all necessary documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience and/or training on CNC Machines.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints manufacturing outlines Material Safety Data sheets safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- The employee must have the ability to utilize measuring equipment
JOB ADVANCEMENT:
- CNC Mill Operator/Cell may advance to a CNC Mill Machinist/Cell after demonstrating the ability to be proficient in the setup and operation of CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines.
- Must be able to perform all adjustments necessary to machine and control to assure part integrity and first article acceptance.
- This advancement is OPTIONAL for employees.
- If a CNC Mill Operator/Cell employee does fulfill the required skill demonstration he or she will transition to a CNC Mill Machinist/Cell position WITHOUT the posting of the position.
