Electrical Maintenance

1. To follow all the safety and compliance policies/procedures/systems of the company (C.A.R.E Commit
Access Recognize Encourage) program.
2. To commit comply support the Simplot Sustainability Strategy and work towards achieving the
sustainability targets of the company.
3. To follow all personnel and process safety guidelines while attending all kind of jobs in the shift.
4. To be responsible to execute predictive preventive and breakdown maintenance jobs as per instructions of
shift team leader.
5. To get the work permit authorization by the shift team leader before starting any maintenance job.
6. To execute and complete preventive maintenance schedules on time for smooth functioning (electrical side)
of process and utility equipment.
7. Responsible to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and breakdowns as well as performing repairs of
process & utility equipment.
8. To attend and resolve the assigned maintenance job within the standard time limit set by the company i.e.
TFFR Time For First Response and MTTRMean Time To Repair.
9. Responsible for optimizing electrical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment setting.
10. To control downtime by informing production team of routine preventive maintenance techniques and
monitor compliances.
11. To remove defective parts by dismantling machines using hoists cranes power & hand tools.
12. To document electrical service records of motors transformers switch gears etc
13. To check the calibration of electrical and electronic instruments i.e. SCADA PLC HMI etc and recalibrate
them at set frequency or in case of malfunctioning.

14. To check & record set parameters for proper functioning of overall electrical system of the plant i.e. 66KV
switch yard to 11KV internal distribution substations metering room transformers panels circuit breakers
switch gears motors earthpits etc. in the shift.
15. To fill and submit the shift log sheet to the shift team leader with details of maintenance jobs handled
during the shift spare parts used time spent on each maintenance activity reason for stoppages etc.
16. To brief the highlights related to electrical maintenance in the shift to the shift team leader.
17. To complete or handover the maintenance jobs carried out in the shift. Should leave the duty only after the
handover of work responsibilities is done to the next shift.
18. To attend and contribute to the shift handovertakeover meetings between the team leaders along with the
maintenance crew at the end of the shift.
19. To actively participate in different programs trainings & initiatives taken by company from time to time.
20. Follows proper food safety sanitation and cleaning procedures of all processing equipment and tools.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Functional: To be Discuss
1. Must have hands on experience in electrical & instrumentation maintenance.
2. Must have hands on experience of troubleshooting of technical problems related to process and
packaging machines.
3. Must have sound knowledge of spares panels electrical wiring consumables & tools.
4. Must be able to do various mathematical calculations to make proper adjustments and calibrations as
required.
5. Must be able to complete assigned jobs independently by using technical knowhow.
6. Must be able to read and understand documentation such as technical manuals blueprints electrical
drawings equipment manuals & safety data sheets.
7. Must have good hand eye coordination and ability to identify & distinguish colours i.e. colour codes etc
8. Work exposures may include but not limited to: extreme weather dust heights noise chemical and
electrical hazards.
9. Ability & willingness to work in refrigerated & frozen environments.
