Functioning within the Health Systems mission values objectives procedures and policies the Medical Technologist I performs routine and technical procedures as directed by supervisory technologist. Maintains predetermined quality standards in testing. Ensures the Laboratory is in compliance with CLIA88 with regard to patient test management by having in place an adequate system to report results in a timely accurate reliable and confidential manner and ensure patient confidentiality throughout those parts of the total testing process that are under the Laboratory s control.

The main department would be Hematology with Microbiology offshift work.

• Beckman Coulter DxH 900 (same as 800)
• IL ACL Top 500s for coagulation
• Beckman Iris for urinalysis
• GeneXpert
• Quidel Sofia
• Biofire Film Array
• Plating and gram staining
• Basic kit tests
