US - Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

1 Onsite 1st Shift
Max Bill Rate Negotiable if candidate has skills and experience.

Designs develops and tests all aspects of mechanical components equipment and machinery. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines instruments controls robots machines etc. May be involved in fabrication operation application installation and/or repair of mechanical products. Requires a bachelors degree in engineering and 68 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts practices and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Test equipment Test adapters tooling Test fixtures for our commercial and Defense product line.
Conduct analysis of heat transfer in practice and theory (analytical correlations and complex finite element methods) and related topics in thermodynamics single and multiphase flows Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) Computational fluid dynamic (CFD)
Evaluate and determine thermal cooling capability for motors and turbomachinery

Provide technical oversight to global engineering teams across time zones

Provide technical guidance to junior engineers

Requirements validation

Project and product compliance

Aerodynamic and turbomachinery experience is a plus.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations candidate must be a U.S. Person which is defined as a U.S. citizen a U.S. permanent resident or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or closely related field with emphasis in heat transfer or thermal sciences
Minimum of 46 years of experience designing Test equipment performing thermal analysis on turbomachinery motors and/or other similar systems
Proficiency in all modes of heat transfer thermodynamics thermal sciences and multiphase heat transfer
Working knowledge of finite element software (PATRAN Thermal NX thermal ANSYS StarCCM FloEFD) & classical hand calculation methods
Experienced in using CAD software such as Siemens/UG NX Teamcenter
Familiar with MS Office such as World Power Point Excel Project
