Senior Data Architect Data Center of Excellence (Data CoE)

Location: Remote (But preference will be given to Candidates who can work onsite (at least 1 or 2 days in a week at Bangalore Office)

Join our innovative Data Center of Excellence group a crossfunctional team working seamlessly across all value streams. We are the driving force behind maintaining database standards implementing best practices and ensuring high availability for all transactional database clusters on our cloud platform. As a key player in this dynamic team you will collaborate with engineering teams across various platforms guiding them in building and optimizing databases to meet project data requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify installation solutions for new databases.
• Engage with application teams to discuss data/database requirements and design suitable solutions.
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure team for database platform building security patching and implementing best practices.
• Address P1 and P2 production issues with application and platform teams.
• Work closely with the platform team to enhance database performance assess data storage needs and explore horizontal/vertical scaling.
• Identify areas for improvement in existing database systems.
• Develop database solutions for storing and retrieving sensitive information such as PII and PCI.
• Install and configure information systems to ensure functionality.
• Analyze structural requirements for new software and applications.
• Implement data migration strategies and ensure efficient and secure data storage.

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of various RDBMS systems and NoSQL databases.
• Extensive working experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL DB.
• Proficient in troubleshooting database queries and optimizing query performance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams including Solution Architects SysOps Data Engineers and Application Development teams.
• Knowledge of metadata management data modeling and related tools (Erwin ER Studio or others).
• Experience in Cloud DB management.
• Familiarity with database management software.
• Strong data management skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain database configuration changes to the Infrastructure team.
• Expertise in solutioning data replications sharding and high availability.
• Knowledge of data modeling is an added advantage.
• Experience in team management communication and presentation.
• Ability to simplify complicated concepts for effective communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
