Join us as the Head of Soil Science and embark on a mission to revolutionize gCDR at scale. As a seasoned soil scientist youll play a pivotal role in developing transformative measurement technology that enables the quantification of highquality carbon removals through Enhanced Weathering (EW).

Tasks

• Collaborate with a team of talented scientists and engineers to develop innovative approaches to quantifying gCDR enabling the widespread adoption of EW as a credible and effective carbon removal strategy.
• Design and implement research projects to refine our measurement technologies setting industry standards and contributing to the global conversation on climate solutions.
• Engage in thought leadership discussions fostering collaboration and consensus around best practices for EW measurement reporting and verification (MRV) ensuring alignment with global standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Leave a lasting mark on gCDR catalyzing gigatonscale negative emissions.

Requirements

• A Ph.D. or Masters degree in Soil Science Geology or a related field with 5 years of experience in soil science research and/or field applications.
• Expertise in gCDR and its measurement methodologies with a proven ability to conduct independent research and develop novel approaches to scientific challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Extensive experience with the planning and execution of EW projects.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
