Key Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations medical histories and physical examinations
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and imaging studies
• Developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans for gastrointestinal conditions
• Performing endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and upper endoscopies
• Providing postprocedure care and followup consultations for patients
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases
• Conducting clinical research and contributing to medical literature in the field of gastroenterology
• Educating patients on disease prevention management and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care
• Maintaining accurate and uptodate patient records and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
• Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine
• Board certification in Gastroenterology
• Licensure to practice medicine in the location of employment
• Proven experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions
• Expertise in performing endoscopic procedures and interpreting results
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of advancements in the field
• Demonstrated research and publication record in gastroenterology
