Job Objective:
The Head of Talent leads the vendor management department and ensures it is supporting the sales and operations departments in the most effective way ensuring recruitment and quality evaluations are carried out efficiently and within specified timeframes. They are also responsible for the departments compliance with our ISO certifications.
Typical responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Vendor Management: Lead a team of vendor managers overseeing provider recruitment onboarding performance management and compliance (ISO 17100 ISO 27001 GDPR).
- Strategic Vision: Partner with other departments to develop strategies assess business needs and identify areas for development and improvement.
- Quality & Compliance: Collaborate with the Quality Manager and DPO to ensure stringent quality standards and data privacy compliance.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and optimize vendor management processes driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Vendor Engagement: Foster positive relationships with vendors resolving issues implementing loyalty programs and building a strong network.
- Training & Development: Equip your team with the knowledge and skills to excel fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Data & Reporting: Track progress against KPIs generate insightful reports and present findings to the management team.
- Complaints management: conducting investigations into all complaints and producing regular reports and findings to management.
Personal Profile
Essential skills
- Localisation industry experience: You will have at least 3 years experience working in a localisation agency in a vendor management role. You will ideally have a language background (e.g. a BA or MA in language/translation studies).
- Personality:You will beselfmotivatedand customer focussed you will also be a proactive problem solver with a positive attitude and strong commercial awareness.You will beflexible andable to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and enable your team to do the same.You will enjoy interacting with people from different cultures both via email and over the phone.
- Specific job skills:Youwill have excellent multitaskingorganisationnegotiationtime management andprioritising skillsandgreatattention to detail. You willbeableto confidently communicatefluently in Englishwith people at all levelsboth in writing and orally.
- Computer skills:You will have the ability to learn new IT programmes easily and quickly.You will have excellent IT literacy includingMicrosoft Office and Outlook.You must own your own computer and have a reliable internet connection.
- Research skills: You will be confident using the internet to research best sources for vendors with specific skill sets and learn more about the skills needed to perform the required services.
Desirable skills
- You will have experience of leading a small team and doing performance reviews and annual appraisals.
- You will have experience in using CAT tools such as XTM Phrase MemoQ and Trados and in project management systems such as XTRF and Plunet.
- You will have some experience of project management in a localisation company or as a freelancer for a localisation company.
