Data Engineer Science fmd

As a Data Engineer at Homelike you will play a crucial role in designing developing and maintaining our data infrastructure pipelines and own our search page ranking algorithm. You will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure data availability reliability and accessibility enabling informed decisionmaking and driving business success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python programming experience with data warehousing ETL processes and a passion for working with large datasets.

Tasks

How you are part of our success story:

• Design develop and maintain robust scalable tested data pipelines
• Collaborate with business functions data analysts and product
• Understand data requirements and ensure data quality and integrity
• Automate business processes across multiple domains
• Own the search page ranking algorithm (Linear Regression)
• Take the ownership of DWH and AWS services related to data.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for optimal performance and reliability

Requirements

What you need to convince us:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer Python developer or similar role
• Experienced with one of the major cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP)
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Knowledge in using libraries such as Pandas NumPy and TensorFlow/PyTorch
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to break down complex problems into small understandable pieces
• Ability to translate business needs into code
• Experience in implementing event driven data pipelines consuming data from streaming service (e.g. kinesis)

What would be a plus:

• You are familiar with software development and the practice of CI/CD
• Experience working with a serverless based pipelines (AWS Lambda)
• Experience with BigQuery and MongoDB are a big plus
• Prior experience with SalesForce
• Previous experience deploying machine learning models into production systems
