Manufacturing Manager - Food Packaging

• Large foods packaging organization with 65 locations nationwide is hiring due to a promotion
• $5 billion organization that grows by expansion. Hiring for a Production Department Manager to grow to the Operations Manager in the next 12 years
• The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for planning directing and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• This position will manage a packaging department with 5 supervisors and 68 employees across 5 shifts
• Monitor exceed and maintain production standards for efficiencies material waste and quality.
• Continuing cost and operational improvement that the department is producing the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost.
• Establish a culture of engagement and set the strategic direction for the team.
• Strategic involvement with leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing SixSigma and similar principles

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree required ideally in Operations Management Mechanical Engineering Business Management or similar
• 715 years of experience as a Production Manager Department Manager Superintendent or related leadership roles in manufacturing environment is required
• Must have manufacturing experience open to any manufacturing processing / packaging environment
• Must have experience managing leaders in a manufacturing setting
• Demonstrated success with understanding yields labor and driving efficiencies forward; experience using systems to track is preferred
• Must be flexible and capable of working in a fastpaced environment utilizing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
