12.50 per hour 13.50 per hour PAYE Quarterly Production Bonus

5D Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a leading manufacturer of bespoke machinery which is supplied in to a variety of industries including power generation infrastructure and data centres. Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit a Junior Buyer to bolster the existing team. There are a variety of products within the range which can vary in size from handheld through to shipping container sized. Products can either be portable or a fixed installation.
What the Role will involve for the Junior Buyer:
- Run the MRP and review demand.
- Expediting to ensure on time deliveries.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure all shortages are followed up.
- Work with the Engineering team to crosscheck suitability of alternate parts.
- Enter purchase orders on SAP and maintain all price check procedures.
- Maintain the internal costing databases.
- Progress orders with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance.
- Buying a variety of components all within a wellestablished existing supply chain.
Requirements
What we are looking for in the Junior Buyer:
- Knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes and procedures.
- ERP Knowledge ideally with SAP but any mainstream product knowledge is fine!
- Good communication skills with the confidence to speak to suppliers and various internal stakeholders including production and engineering.
