Systems Administrator- LinuxCentOS- TSSCI-Full Scope Poly Clearance Required

Due to the nature of the clients work candidates must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active TS/SCI Full Scope Poly Clearance to be considered.

These positions offer flexible hours and most positions offer partial remote work. They are located in Maryland or Texas. Locations in MD include Annapolis Junction Columbia Laurel and other surrounding cities. Location in TX is San Antonio. Relocation assistance is offered if needed.

Required Experience

• Proficient in Linux/CentOS operating systems with a focus and direction on system administration tasks.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible; familiarity with Salt is acceptable.
• Competence in Docker containerization technology.
• Proficiency in Bash/Bourne shell scripting for automation and system tasks.
• Willingness to work under the guidance of a Senior Administrator Level 2 (SA2) within the team offering a growth opportunity.
• Familiarity with networked file systems such as CephFS and NFS.

Useful Experience:

• Installation configuration and utilization of monitoring tools like Nagios and Xymon for system health monitoring.
• Practical experience in Linux system administration including package management (e.g. yum updates) patching and SELinux hardening.
• Understanding of firewall and proxy concepts including firewalld iptables HAProxy and Nginx.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Science Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• OR Number of years of additional technical experience may be substituted for a degree.
