• Welcomes guests upon check-in and check-out, and uses guests' names. • Handles reservations, amendments, cancellation, confirmation, check-in time, guarantee a reservation. • Familiar with the reservation system and equipment, rate structure, and special packages including all segments packages, travel vouchers, bedding type, whole sale rates, location of rooms within the hotel, safety features, upselling. • Extensive knowledge of the hotel facilities and surrounding areas. • Uphold the hotel's commitment to gracious hospitality and follow through on staff courtesy and company values. • Familiarize with names of VIP, complimentary, and pre-registered guests at the start of each shift by reviewing reports provided by the Front Office Manager and senior management. • Logs all complaints on appropriate sheet, including the guest's name, room number, with time, complaint, and actions taken. • Absolute knowledge of all hotel products, promotions, events, functions happening in the hotel. • Maintains an active presence in the hotel lobby to greet and attends promptly to customer's inquiries and assist them with their needs. • Provides solution to the guests' concerns and issues as per the hotel policy. • Presents and maintains proper decorum at all times. • Keeps senior management informed of the latest ideas affecting the operation of the department. • Deals with any guests' complaints concerning the service and performance extended by the department. • Adheres to set procedures for attendance and timekeeping. • Carries out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Front Office Manager and other Senior Staff. • Notifies senior management or shift supervisor of any problems during the balancing and cashing out procedures. • Balances the total debits and credits posted during the shift. • Efficiently handles cash, travel vouchers, etc. • Accepts cash for payment after obtaining identification from guests "no posts" the account to ensure no outstanding balances. • Verifies all accounts to be billed have been previously approved by manager, and where to send the billing. • Adheres to the hotel credit policy and settlement procedures when accepting any form of payment from the guest.
