Quality Inspector

Role Description

This role is responsible for the quality of Company products as required by all applicable codes and specifications. Inspect test sort sample or weigh raw materials or processed machined fabricated or assembled parts or products for defects wear and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment. May be assigned to do other jobs including assisting other employees; and shall be responsible for maintaining a clean place to work may need to perform NDE to meet code and/or specification requirements. This is a 2nd shift position (3:00pm1:30am).

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum 5 years experience
• ASNTTC1A Level II Bubble Leak Testing
• ASNTTC1A Level II Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)
• ASNTTC1A Level II Visual Inspection with Dimensional Inspection (Weld & Dimensional)
• ASNTTC1A Level II Magnetic Particle (MT)
• ASNTTC1A Level II Radiography Testing (RT)
• AWS CWI
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral
• Must be organized and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to identify and respond quickly to correct conditions that affect Employee Safety
• Knowledge of Excel and Word
• Microsoft Outlook

Other Physical Requirements:

• Vision (Near Distance Color Depth Perception)
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety eye wear gloves steel toe shoes hearing protection)

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing Environment with temperatures extremes hazards from things like lasers or welding arc or other environmental hazards.
