Sales Agronomist - Central Valley

International company with focus on providing nutrition into the soil / at the root is recruiting a Sales Agronomist. (Familiar with citrus and blueberry crops a plus.)

The company has a sciencebased plant and soil service offering. These services provide a valuable synergy between crop performance and technology to farmers. The solution includes a cloudbased data platform that supports informed decision making.

This roles main purpose is to identify the needs of clients and recommend potential solutions utilizing the companys technology services and/or products. They will support and promote their clients business and growth

Responsibilities

Advise client on plant nutrition to optimize yield

Provide technical recommendations to customers based on various analyses

Identify and implement business opportunities to grow companys market share

Build and maintain relationships with customers through regular onsite visits

Market and sell products and services

Secure repeat business

Establish and position yourself as a strategic and trusted partner

Preparing and presenting technical presentations to clients and industry stakeholders.

Gaining extensive knowledge relating to the use and application of the companys products within a specific geographic location and crop types

Participating in industry associations trade shows and conferences

Conducting research and development to facilitate continuous product improvement

Performing field trials

Compile sales budgets and meeting those budgets

Maintaining financial and administrative records

Experience / Background

BS or AS Agronomy or Related degree

35 years in plant health or nutrition

Agronomist with customer references in the Central Valley

Strong understanding of Fruit crops

Experience with precision agriculture soil science plant nutrition

Passionate about Agriculture

Solid verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work in a team environment as well as on your own

Ability to market and sell products and services

Attention to detail and well organized
