System Admin

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Install configure and maintain operating systems server hardware and virtualization environments
• Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and accessibility
• Manage network infrastructure including routers switches firewalls and VPN
• Implement and enforce security measures to protect data software and hardware
• Perform regular backup operations and ensure data recovery capabilities
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and escalate to vendors when necessary
• Manage user accounts permissions email and antivirus programs
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve technical issues and implement solutions
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders
• Develop and maintain documentation related to system configuration and processes
• Conduct regular system audits for compliance and optimization
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve system performance
• Participate in oncall rotation to provide afterhours support as needed
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to system administration

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
• Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
• Strong knowledge of system security including firewalls encryption and intrusion detection systems
• Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP DNS DHCP)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware HyperV)
• Knowledge of backup and recovery processes for data protection
• Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
• Experience with server administration and management tools
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or CompTIA Server are a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to a fastpaced and dynamic work environment
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and technologies (e.g. AWS Azure) is a plus
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Bash) is preferred
