Nurse Coordinator - Endoscopy

• Shift: Rotating Days 8hrs MondayFriday 40hrs / week
  
• Work Location: Onsite; Palo Alto CA
  

• Provides agespecific quality patientcentered care to all patients using the nursing process and standards of nursing practice with sensitivity and respect for the diversity of the human experience.
  
• Must have Epic experience. RN coordinator Endoscopy or ASC nursing experience strongly preferred.
  
• Expedites appropriate care and treatment using critical reasoning and astute clinical judgment especially given the patient may present with complex problems or potentially lifethreatening conditions.
  
• Conduct preprocedure assessments to ensure patients are suitable candidates for endoscopic procedures.
  
• Provide patients with information about the procedure including preprocedure preparations risks and postprocedure care.
  
• Coordinate and schedule endoscopic procedures ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting patient needs.
  
• Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth procedure flow.
  
• Maintain accurate and uptodate records of patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
  
• Monitor and ensure adherence to infection control protocols and quality assurance standards.
  
• Provide ongoing training and education to nursing staff on endoscopy procedures safety measures and best practices.
  
• Manage and replenish supplies and equipment necessary for endoscopic procedures.
  
• Monitor patients postprocedure and provide appropriate care and support.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college/university
  

• RN Registered Nurse
  
• BLS Basic Life Support
  

• Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
