1. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and backend objectives.
2. Design and architect scalable and efficient backend systems considering factors like performance reliability and cost optimization.
3. Implement backend solutions using Java and other relevant technologies.
4. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate backend systems with frontend applications and other components.
5. Conduct assessments of existing backend architecture recommending and implementing improvements.
6. Ensure compliance with industry best practices security standards and data protection regulations.
7. Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain backend services.
8. Provide technical leadership guidance and mentorship to junior architects and development teams.
9. Stay updated on industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in backend architecture.
10. Maintain effective communication with clients and project stakeholders throughout the design and implementation phases.

1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2. 10 years of proven experience as a Backend Architect showcasing successful projects and scalable backend solutions.
3. Proficiency in Java programming language and other relevant backend technologies.
4. Experience with at least one public cloud platform (AWS Azure or GCP).
5. Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB Cassandra DynamoDB etc.).
6. Strong understanding of backend development best practices microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
7. Proficiency in architectural design software is a plus.
8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
9. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
10. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker Kubernetes) is a plus.
