Data Engineer with GCP Experience

• Develop maintain and optimize data pipelines using GCP services including Google Cloud Dataproc.
• Collaborate with data scientists analysts and other stakeholders to understand data
• requirements and ensure data availability.
• Design develop and implement ETL processes to transform and load data into Google
• BigQuery leveraging Google Cloud Dataproc for data processing and transformation.
• Perform data modelling and database design to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval in Big
• Query.
• Plan and execute the migration of existing data modules to Google Big Query ensuring a
• seamless transition.
• Monitor data pipelines and ensure data quality and reliability including Dataproc cluster
• management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve datarelated issues promptly utilizing Dataproc and Big Query
• capabilities.
• Collaborate with the Cloud Operations team to ensure data security and compliance with best
• practices.
• Stay up to date with the latest GCP technologies including Dataproc and Big Query and trends
• to recommend improvements and innovations.

• Bachelors degree in computer science Data Engineering or a related field.
• 37 years of experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in SQL PySpark and Dataproc.
• Handson experience with Google Big Query and other GCP services.
• Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
• Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• GCP certifications (e.g. Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer) are a plus.
