Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining all serverside network components using Node.js
• Implementing and maintaining RESTful APIs using Express.js
• Designing and implementing lowlatency highavailability and performant applications
• Integrating userfacing elements with serverside logic
• Implementing security and data protection
• Writing reusable testable and efficient code
• Collaborating with frontend developers on the integration of elements
• Integrating multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Managing and hosting company applications on cloud platforms
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Performance tuning improvement balancing usability and automation
• Managing and mentoring junior developers
• Collaborating with internal teams to develop and maintain functional and scalable applications
• Participating in code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Keeping abreast of industry trends and technologies

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience as a Node.js Developer or similar role
• Microservices AWS exp is plus
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript Express.js and RESTful APIs
• Experience with database technologies such as MongoDB
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Good understanding of serverside templating languages
• Experience with agile methodologies and the full software development lifecycle
• Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance
• Experience in creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Proficient understanding of crossbrowser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Problemsolving and time management abilities
