Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting routine gynecological exams and screenings.
• Diagnosing and treating gynecological conditions and diseases.
• Performing surgical procedures such as hysterectomies and laparoscopies.
• Providing prenatal care attending childbirth and postnatal care.
• Developing and implementing patient care plans.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as ultrasounds and blood work.
• Counseling and educating patients on reproductive health and contraception.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals in multidisciplinary teams.
• Keeping accurate medical records and documentation.
• Staying updated on medical advancements and best practices in gynecology.
• Participating in research and contributing to medical literature.
• Adhering to medical and ethical standards and guidelines.
• Managing and supervising medical staff including nurses and technicians.
• Providing emergency gynecological care when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Completion of a residency program in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Valid state medical license.
• Strong surgical skills and experience with gynecological surgeries.
• Proficiency in obstetric care including prenatal childbirth and postnatal care.
• Excellent diagnostic abilities and familiarity with interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy and compassion for patients.
• Ability to handle highstress and emotionally charged situations.
• Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Continuous learning and staying abreast of new developments in gynecology.
