Research Development Manager-FMCG

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the R&D team in developing new products and improving existing ones
• Manage R&D projects from conception to launch
• Conduct market research to identify consumer needs and preferences
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure product alignment with company goals
• Drive innovation and develop new technologies in product development
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices
• Manage the R&D budget and optimize resource allocation
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team
• Oversee prototype development and testing
• Identify and evaluate potential external partnerships for R&D
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements
• Report on R&D progress and outcomes to senior management
• Lead and mentor the R&D team to foster a culture of creativity and excellence
• Drive continuous improvement in R&D processes and practices
• Ensure intellectual property protection for developed products

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Food Science Chemistry or Engineering
• Proven experience in R&D within the FMCG industry
• Strong project management skills with a focus on timelines and deliverables
• Experience in product development and commercialization
• Demonstrated leadership and people management abilities
• Ability to interpret market trends and consumer insights
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and quality assurance processes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• Experience in intellectual property management and innovation protection
• Proven track record in driving innovation and successful product launches
• Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment
• Advanced degree or certifications in R&D or related fields (preferred)
• Experience in working with crossfunctional teams (preferred)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics (preferred)
