Our team and the role we are hiring for
You will be reporting directly to the Director of Engineering based in Bengaluru and supporting our teams in Singapore and USA.
Skills and Experience
We seek top performing individuals with the passion experience and gravitas to effectively lead this critical business function. The ideal candidate will be a high energy team oriented customer driven problem solver with prior experience in delivering highly scalable and easy to use applications for small businesses and enterprises. We are looking for a React Native developer interested in building performant mobile apps on both the iOS and Android platforms. You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort and as such a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.
Requirements
- Build pixelperfect buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
- Using design patterns SOLID Container / Component pattern Component composition Stateless components Atomic design Higher order components Redux state.
- Firm grasp of the JavaScript and TypeScript or ClojureScript language and its nuances
- including ES6 syntax
- Knowledge of functional or objectoriented programming.
- Ability to write welldocumented clean Javascript code.
- Rock solid at working with thirdparty dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
- Familiarity with native build tools like XCode Gradle Android Studio IntelliJ.
- Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
- Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
- Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement missioncritical
- software fixes React Native moves fast and often breaks things.
- Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
- Transition existing Native IOS apps to React Native using bridge.
- Indepth knowledge of Restful / GraphQL API JSON.
- Experience with CI/CD and tools like Git Bitbucket and Jenkins.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g. Postgres MySQL) and experience in NoSQL (e.g. GraphDB MongoDB dynamoDB).
- Experience working in a fastpaced environment; continuous deployment testdriven
- development agile methodologies.
- Stay current with the latest backend technologies and best practices and share your findings with the team.
- Work as part of an agile team across a variety of application domains
- Write structured tested readable and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distributed knowledge
- Ability to contribute to each step of the product development process (ideation implementation and release)
- Experience with performance tuning profiling and debugging applications
Education
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
