Sustainability Officer – Agri Food (Munster)
Company Overview: Our client is a leading player in the Agri Food industry committed to delivering highquality products while minimizing environmental impact. We are now are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sustainability Officer to join the team and drive initiatives that align with their commitment to sustainable practices and corporate responsibility.
Position Overview: As a Sustainability Officer specializing in Agri Food you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing sustainability strategies across our food production processes and farmer supply base. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams suppliers and external stakeholders to ensure our operations align with environmental social and economic sustainability goals.

You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams suppliers and external stakeholders to ensure our operations align with environmental social and economic sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Analysis:

- Conduct thorough assessments of our current food production processes to identify environmental and social impacts.
- Analyze data related to energy consumption waste generation water usage and carbon emissions.
- Strategy Development:

- Collaborate with relevant departments to develop and implement sustainability strategies specific to the Agri Food and Agribusiness sector.
- Formulate and execute plans to achieve sustainability targets considering both shortterm and longterm goals.
- Regulatory Compliance:

- Stay informed about local and international regulations related to sustainable practices
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations and facilitate necessary certifications.
- Supplier Engagement:

- Work closely with farmer/Supplier to promote sustainable agrifarming practices
- Evaluate and enhance the sustainability performance of the supply chain.
- Communication and Reporting:

- Develop clear and concise sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate progress achievements and challenges related to sustainability initiatives.
- Employee Training and Awareness:

- Conduct training sessions to educate employees on sustainability practices and their role in achieving companywide goals.
- Foster a culture of environmental responsibility and awareness.
- Innovation and Research:

- Stay abreast of industry trends best practices and emerging technologies in sustainable dairy production.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvements in sustainability efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in sustainability environmental science or a related field.
- Proven experience in sustainability roles preferably within the Agri Food industry
- Familiarity with relevant sustainability standards certifications and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate complex data.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
- Passion for sustainable practices and a commitment to corporate social responsibility.
