Role: Email Security Engineer (Proof Security)
Location: Hyderabad Bangalore Pune
Hybrid Mode Position

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze email traffic to identify potential security threats including phishing and spam.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with IT and Security Architecture teams to implement and maintain email security protocols.
- Manage inbound and outbound security rules for email including filtering whitelists and spam control.
- Provide input on messaging initiatives maintain email security infrastructure and deploy security controls to manage and mitigate risks.
- Secure email systems by establishing and enforcing policies while defining and monitoring access.
- Develop and report metrics (KPIs) for email security performance.
- Stay informed about emerging security threats and trends adapting security measures accordingly.
- Create and maintain documentation for security procedures and protocols.
- Provide training and education for employees on email security best practices.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of SMTP (RFC 821/5321) TLS DNS and related standards.
- Utilize experience with email security platforms such as Trustwave MailMarshal (OnPrem and Cloud) Proofpoint (TAP EFD TRAP) Mimecast and Microsoft O365.
- Possess a strong understanding of email protocols and infrastructure including DKIM SPF and DMARC.
- Work with security tools such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and email filtering solutions.
- Be familiar with email encryption technologies.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of information security best practices and industry standards.
- Collaborate with clients to align security policies with their specific business needs.
- Collaborate on architecture and security solutions to address clientspecific challenges.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in IT with at least 1 year of working experience with Proofpoint/Mimecast/Forcepoint/MailMarshal email gateway systems.
- Strong email engineering skills with a clear understanding of Message Transfer Agent configurations.
- Good understanding of DLP and encryption technologies.
- Experience with internet email protocols network protocols and email routing concepts.
- Understanding of Cyber review functions in Email security.
- Created process documents Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and runbooks for managing daytoday operations.
- Experience in coordinating and collaborating with multiple vendors for ongoing issues and new technology enhancements.
- Ability to plan schedule track and report on simple project timelines/milestones using collaboration tools such as ServiceNow/Jira.
- Excellent knowledge of ITIL and strong capability to define execute and enforce key ITIL processes like incident problem and change management.
Preferred:
- Microsoft Messaging Certifications; MSCE MSCA Teams Administrator Associate.
- Cisco IronPort ESA and SMA Management.
- Experience with Proofpoint Email Security solutions.
- Email Compliance Management.
