Safety and Environmental Engineer - Manufacturing

Our client a market leader in the packaging industry is looking for a young engineer to join their dynamic Health and Safety Team based in Pinetown Durban. If you have excellent administration and computer skills the ability to work independently towards the execution of your tasks and thoroughly enjoy the energy and pace of the Production Environment this is a unique opportunity for you to join a company within which you can grow and rise through the ranks of the engineering department.

• Ensure compliance with Food Safety and ISO protocols
  
• Ensure good housekeeping and stock control
  
• PPE Management
  
• Facilitate distribution of work wear and new PPE
  
• Communication with relevant department heads
  
• Develop a clear understanding of the OSH Act
  
• Other Ad hoc duties

• BSc/BEng/BTech Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
  
• A Completed Internship in a Manufacturing/Production Environment
  
• At Least one year of work experience in a Manufacturing/Production Environment
  
• Established familiarity with applying the OHS Act
  
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office
  
• Strong Administration skills
